which games do run almost perfect?

Anything DreamSNES-related can be asked in this forum, such as general questions about the emulator, how to burn it, etc.

Post by skar »

i'm looking for a list of games which run with good, playable speed - i noticed that for example lufia and final fantasy 2 do so - so any more?

most Rareware games, for example:
donkey kong country
donkey kong country 2

Prince of Persia
Out of this World
Porky Pig's Haunted Holiday
Sailormoon RPG
TNMT4
live a live
lufia 2
secret of mana

Super Mario All-Stars with Super Mario World works like almost full speed. Even
with transparent option on.

The whole DBZ series suck. The Rareware games run pretty good. All the Kirby games suck at speed too. I've never really had a problem with any of the other games.

correction! If you have PAL hardware it's full-speed. On NTSC it's a little slow, but really playable with transparencies OFF.

in my experience:

super punch-out
donkey kong country
donkey kong country 2
smash TV
lemmings (which you really should be playing on PC, anyway)
earthbound

all run at about 95% speed, with transparency off and sound on mono. (don't know if mono is any faster than stereo, but i squeeze all the speed i can get out without disabling sound)

super mario world, which has been mentioned several times, runs fullspeed-ish, but is jittery.

Chrono Trigger isn't full speed (the battles are slow) but it is very playable with sound outside of battles. Super Mario World also runs well.

DKCIII is full speed? When I play it it's REALLY buggy with transparencies off, and tends to play slower than the other 2.

I tried Uncharted Waters 2 last night and it was pretty laggy. The day I can run UW2 at full speed on DreamSNES is the day I set up a trust fund for the devs.

Porky Pig's Haunted Holiday runs very well. Sailormoon RPG works well too (I tried the english patched version though). :)

I think that someone also should have told the guy with problems to turn off the sound, turn on-off the transpanrencies{sp?} mode 7 optimization, stuff like that and about the skippy jittery stuff more info please.

With mono on and what -=HiryuJoesephus=-
says most games do run good (not very helpful I guess)

PAL games run smoother than NTSC-US/JP too!

hey chris it's guyme... i mean hiryu
the (sp?) is in reference to spelling errors and the rest of my post is asking for a more detailed description of "jittery" and I wonder if the originator of this post is the same one from dcemuuk
