If you go by the DC Discussion threads, officially = no. Unofficially = very likely

But to commercial devs, the DC is dead! Is there even a half-somewhat chance of it getting released? Ever?

Unofficially, yes. A group has gotten a hold of it and are in the process of ripping it, apparently. Hence the "unofficially" statement

Kenichi knows a bit about it, it would be wise to ask him if you would like more info.

WOWOMGH4X! That would be SO AWESOME! It would be even better if, to send a message to Sega and their marketing dept., that someone sells it commercially and sends ALL the profits to Sega, with a very plain note saying "THIS CAME FROM DREAMCAST GAME SALES, ONE GAME; THE DC IS NOT DEAD!" :D :D :D

You would think Sega would have updated it and released a GameCube/Xbox version by now.. At least then we would have SOMETHING!

Heh...funny idea there :-P. However, there are two major problems: (1) that would land you in ALL SORTS of legal trouble, and (2) it's too little too late. If anything could have been done to save DC, it would've had to be done in 2001...or at the latest, 2002. Now, the system is almost six years old...half a generation out of date hardware-wise, and with the NEXT generation of consoles right around the corner, there ain't much to be done ;-)

And you know what, they all suck
Fun sig there :-D. I don't know whether it's somewhat serious or just to goad other forum members, but I for one enjoyed it. I obviously don't have access to Propeller Arena, but I have tried both HL and the Bleem! leak...the former wouldn't be so bad (even ignoring the mediocre framerate) if it weren't for the AWFUL loading times that pop up all the time thanks to HL's mapping system. Fun game, but very flawed in its console form; I know this may have been a development thing, but I doubt it would have been ironed out, as the PS2 version suffers the exact same flaw. As for Bleem!: it really, honestly, is NOT very playable. Some games work okay, but most have countless glitches and a LOT of audio problems. That's why it was never intended for general release. I'm much happer with my Bleem!MGS disc, even though it only works on one game (although a Symphony of the Night disc would have been REALLY nice...).

I've heard it's been successfully cracked/ripped already, but a release hasn't been made yet. It should be pretty soon.

i finally got propeller arena... its pretty decent for being a game i dont usually play. But, has anyone else notice the ships move kind of slow and the accuracy of shooting something is kinda off. i was shooting at an oppentent for quite sometime before the green circle formed near him and he started takin damage. other wise decent game. some of the tricks are a little diffucult to pull off.
