Preorders for homebrew contest winners - Anyone?
Ok, I'm sure that most of you promptly dished out the credit cards and purchased the 2 homebrew games that won the programming contest late last month. Basically, I wanted to find out who's plunked down the cash.
(And is anyone excited about them being released this month besides me?)

Well...
While I'm not able to give any details, there have been pre-orders for the games. So there is good interest. We're going to have some fun up at the MGC promoting the thing.
I know I'm partial to Inhabitants, but its got a lot more gameplay than the beta version that's out there, and looks better, too
Just in case nobody knows, here are some of the highlights of the release version of Inhabitants.
Two scoring modes, with four different variations on the theme.
Unlockable game modes and tilesets.
Brand new music (It's good, trust me
The ability to create music swap discs with Audio CD's, or OGG Vorbis files
4 player multiplayer mode.
And downloadable content in the form of Bonus packs, new tilesets and backgrounds packaged into VMI files that you download to your VMU.
Thats just a short list.
Anyways, sorry for blabbering on.

Mr Jones, I'm definitely excited about them being released!
I've been looking forward to this for over six months (wow!), and I can't believe that it's finally here. I've really been meaning to preorder these titles, and I was just about to, and then, something big and unexpected came up last weekend, and I'm actually having to sell off some of the new DC games that I've only recently purchased (including these big recent Japanese releases!).
... but, I am definitely trying to see about preordering, and I should know by Monday, which is a week before the projected ship date, which is what I did for Puyo Puyo Fever and Psyvariar 2 (both of which I... might have to sell! ). We'll have to see...
(And, Inhabitants is sounding even better than I thought that it could... Unlockable and downloadable content? Sounds really fantastic!!)

I want it to be a surprise, when I'm playing the game... but, I am fairly tempted, though... should I look?

S+F Software ports
Well, one more of the games is going to be ported to the DC, and we will show it off at the MGC. We're also begining preliminary work on a game for the GBA.
There are lots of the games I'd love to port over to the DC, but the main problems are 1) time, and 2) art. We don't have the source to all the games anymore (keep good backups folks) and they arent in C to begin with, so, yeah, its a big job.
I'm just glad Inhabitants is finished. I think everyone who orders it will be very satisfied with their purchase.
