Why is there no 1st_read.bin file in the DreamSNES download?

It should have one (1st_read.bin). Or are we encouraged to use that 'idiot proof' compiler program?
I'd much rather compile the .cdi image myself.

Where did you get the file? Maybe it's just named something else. I recall having to name a file to 1st_read.bin or maybe it was the ip.bin.

Either way, I also prefer making my own images. dir2boot is an awesome program.

Check to see what file the IP.bin aims at.

DreamSNES has a 1ST_READ.BIN, it just has a different name (it's named something like 1stDSNES.BIN)

There's a 1DSNES.SH4
Should I rename this 1st-read.bin?
The only other .bin file is the ip one.

I downloaded it from this site and the main site where DreamSNES is from.

1DSNES.SH4 "is" the 1ST_READ.BIN, but don't rename it.
The IP.BIN that DreamSNES uses is different than the other emulators use, it looks for a file called 1DSNES.SH4 instead of 1ST_READ.BIN.
