Is it possible, to share an internet connection from pc to my dc? i have a dc with a modem right now i want to connect through my pc's broadband connection. I have a laptop with both a built modem and built in Ethernet. Are there any turorials? this would be awsome cause I'm really having trouble finding a broadband adapter.

If you have problems with the "line-voltage" or tricking the modem into answering, a telephone-system (I don`t know if this is the proper name in english) could help you....here is a draft of the installation :
http://www.freehostsltd.com/sites/dream ... ubild.html
you can skip the "tricking the modem into answering" (the registry edit stuff)
and the "switching the connection ON / OFF" part...
P.S. : any PC-modem (33.6 K / 56 K) will work with this setting.

I just posted something similar in this thread. It's the only way I've gotten it to work.qw3rty wrote:If you have problems with the "line-voltage" or tricking the modem into answering, a telephone-system (I don`t know if this is the proper name in english) could help you....

that's interesting i'll look into it before i comment
edit, cool so as far as I understand if i use this device, it will generate a ring and my pc can easily pick up the ring thus establishing a connection. Am I right? After this how would i get about setting this connection up for online gaming (pso ) do i need extra software?

Folow the instructions given at this link :
http://www.consolevision.com/members/mterlouw/
but you can skip the "tricking windows into answering the line" (the registry-edit-stuff).
The "switching the connection on/off" isn`t neccessary either.
The phone number in the dreamcast-ISP-settings is the internal number of the PC-port of the "telephone system" (something like "2") - read the manual of the telephone system...

I don`t think so....this seems to be a ROUTER, that shares your ISDN-internet-connection to your LAN.JuniorCrb wrote:is this one of those isdn things i need?

You should get something like this :
http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?Vi ... 62471&rd=1
of course you don`t need 16 lines, 2 are enough(one for the DC, one for the PC)...the telephones are not necessary either.
And the price isn`t acceptable for the purpose (here in germany, 4-line phone-systems are sold for apr. 20$ at ebay)
P.S. : I found a relatively cheap system, that *could* work :
