easy stuf, just take a multimeter, set it to measure resistance (the omega sign) and choose a very low range, now, put one pin inside the controller socket, and hold it down on a single pin in there. take the second pin from the multimeter, and try all the pins on the bottom of the board, the pin where the multimeter gives a low resistance is the one connected, all other pins should give you an error (the multimeter is out of range for this resistance, as the pins you are connected to arent connected have an endless resistance between them)

lather rinse repeat untill youve got all pins

you can do the same with a controller plug plugged in, and measuring between the cable wires and the board pins

well id do it, if it didnt involve hacking up a controller, how else can you get the right controller wires?

anyway, you can use a light ( a led) and a battery here too, just connect the light to the battery at one end, and run a wire from the two free connections, then use those two wires in the same way as the multimeter, when the light goes on, you got the right combination
