I honestly didn't think posting news was going to end up in a flame war. Although Will, you said it yourself, "I'm sure I'm going to get flamed for saying this...". I'm not taking any sides, just this flaming is honestly pointless.

REMAKE = same game except that it been improved !
CLONE = Different game based off an already made engine !
EXAMPLE:
RE for GCN, REMAKE as it is the same game with improvements !

XMEN COTA USA and XMEN COTA JAP, clones, difference, they haven't been improved, just translated !

i would say that what is lacking by today's gaming is and will always be CREATIVITY !
example, what is so creative in UNREAL TOURNAMENT 2K3 ?
what is so creative whent he game company actually buy an already made engine and creates over it and finalize by making a totally look alike game ?
rare are those companies by today that actually make their very own engine !
for me too, having a PLOT is way better then just having random violences acts. that's why i hate shooters that only ask you to shoot without any reasons ! EG Q3A and the likes !
I downloaded it, but I think it was only the PC version (although there were KOS makefiles). I started to load up on my PC then it quickly crashed. I'm not gonna try opening it again.

i doesn't crash at all. at least the windows version
I tried the PC file; so far, only the basic graphics engine seems to be done. The road is just a square, the controls are still a bit floaty, and there's nothing "binding" the car to the road. So it's not really in playable form yet.
But it does look promising. Very retro-style F-Zero.
I can give you some extra info about this game. Someone already said that efe zero will be ported to several platforms. The dc programming staff are:
chui: making engine and general programming
locke and fokker: making 3d models of ships. They are inspired in original games, but not ripped directly.
mekanaizer: porting and compiling code for dreamcast.
poket_lucho and propeller: graphic desingn and logos.
If anyone wants to help in game development, you only need to tell them at the dreamcast forum of talfi.net.
By the way. as it was said, there is a demo available for dreamcast.
