What software should I burn with?

This forum is for discussion pertaining to homebrew and indie software for the Dreamcast, such as homebrew games, emulators/interpreters, and other homebrew software/applications. Porting requests and developmental ideas are not to be made here; you can make those here. If you need any help burning discs for homebrew software, this is the place to ask as well.

What software should I burn with?

Nero 5.5.x.x - Will burn all the Nero (.nrg) images from this site. If you get an "unexpected exception" error you need to upgrade to Nero 5.5.10.x. Nero is also useful for burning multisession discs, audio CDs and VCDs.


Nero 6 - Don't use Nero 6. It doesn't seem to burn selfbooting Dreamcast discs. :(


Discjuggler - Nicknamed Discmangler because so many people have had problems with it. Some people find it useful for burning Discjuggler (.cdi) images. I suggest you burn Discjuggler images with Alcohol 120% or convert them with cdi2nrg.


Alcohol 120% - Burns both Nero and Discjuggler images. 8-)
