This forum is for discussion pertaining to homebrew and indie software for the Dreamcast, such as homebrew games, emulators/interpreters, and other homebrew software/applications. Porting requests and developmental ideas are not to be made here; you can make those here. If you need any help burning discs for homebrew software, this is the place to ask as well.

if the emu is gonna support single rom loading, how about the option to put your own pic on VMU!
So if your disc is loading mario, you have a mario piccy!!

This emu is the best thing I've heard from dcemu for a long time!! :-) Great things!!

More news about my jazzy/phonkey track for Super Famicast:

It's progressing smoothly.I have lots of ideas at the moment :)
It's now about 70% complete.
Just a little more work,and it's done.
It's 100% original,like always,but I added 8 familiar notes from a familiar game that will make it Super Famicast-friendly :)
Or do you want me to ditch those 8 notes and leave it a 100% original composition ?
There is still more work to do,especially in the arrangement part.
There'll be lots of phunky piano here :)
...my hands are already tired from playing the MIDI keyboard :D

I'm making this track using only the SoundBlaster Audigy 2 General MIDI sound set.MIDI powered !
Many of the instruments sound worse than the Yamaha S-YXG50,but there are some that sound better...when the sounds are carefully selected and slightly enhanced with effects, the sound quality is 99% like the Dreamcast's amazing MIDI sound quality.Heh,brings back memories when my DC still worked and I was using it's XG capabilities. But now it's dead *sniff*

I just don't know if the MP3 or OGG player included in Super Famicast will play 48kHz MP3s or OGGs,not just 44.1 kHz.

I have an MP3 of the 70% completed track ready,so If you want to listen to it,just make a post.
The MP3 is ready, just I got nowhere to upload it.
It's a 5.4 MB 350kbps 16bit 48kHz OGG file made from a 32 bit 48 kHz WAV :) <- this one is not for you,it's the master :D
But I have made a "Lower Quality" version for everyone else at 96kbps 44kHz stereo OGG = 1.8 MB.
Hmmm....96kbps OGGs sound better than 128kbps MP3s - I'm still amazed.

The best part is that the track is very addictive.

Anyone willing to go to #dcemu on IRC,take the file and link it in the forum ?
Maybe ZacMc,the duckman?
...or maybe not, until I finish it completely,so you can "taste the best" )()(

Oh,just one more thing - Scherzo, can you also make a rolling Credits screen for Super Famicast ?
I have made something HARD for that. :)

Wow,the Super Mario Bros. Orchestra theme is AWESOME! :)

And,Rigor Mortis' first track is interesting.I find a good mix of Jean-Michel Jarre,Ennio Morricone, some modern sound engineering and HARD symphonic STABS,which I like :)

Rigor Mortis, are you a music student? What music are you actually specialized in?
Symphonic? If it is really symphonic,then...hmmmm....
I can surprise you really good :)
hehe

Rigor Mortis, that's awesome. I play piano myself although I've never had formal lessons. I can play some Chopin, Liszt, Rachmaninov. I just don't have time to practice anymore.

Let me hear what you have if you don't mind. It's alright if you'd rather wait until you're finished with it.

Gah!! F***ing Geocities!!!!

Does anyone know of another free file sharing service?

Anyone?

In other news, I've recently began another possible track for Super Famicast. I'm taking the "Let's get pumped up for some sweet sweet Famicast lovin' " route and making it nice and energetic.
