Would this be possible???
This probably sounds like a silly-ass question, but is there a way to play your roms on the systems they were designed for? Like, say NES roms on an NES if some kind of converter was made... Blah. I have no knowledge AT ALL about this stuff so if I am way off, just tell me to shut up. In any case, I think that would rock if it were possible...

Yes, using flash carts. They're widely available for the GBA, and a company has just started them for the Genesis. The ones for the SNES tended to either take floppy discs, or load ROMs from an external CD-ROM, much like the ones for the N64,
You can even make your own for older systems like the NES and Master System, although a fair amount of work is required.

One thing you can do is buy an EEPROM burner and make carts yourself, but it is supposed to be really hard to do. Actually, its not that hard to make an EEPROM cart for the SNES. You just need to canabalize a good existing one for parts. There are lots of tutorials around on the whole process step by step. Its just cumbersome to load new roms onto the chip everytime you wanto load another game.
