Tha proves one thing, it proves that the store that sold that DC to you is managed by idiots that give a one year warranty to a top quality electronic product for 15 bucks lol. That price is BS and shrinkwrapped?allow me to lol, that dc has probably been refurbished 4 times and they wrapped it again.Vchat20 wrote:pwned. got mine for $14, shrink wrapped, and a 1 year warranty! how 'bout that?
Ok maybe its true, but if it is, you truly got lucky cause factory sealed DC's are as far as i know no longer in stock at any stores or websites.

yeah i called my eb games and they said 20$, 15 would have been nice, grr, why are gamestop and eb games trying to clear out dreamcasts, my eb games doesn't even sell the games anymore. Its far superior to the snes, n64, nes, and dare i even say the genesis, yet those are still stocked...notice game gears, and saturns are not sold, and ofcourse not the nomad. They may not have hit it big like the genesis, but what is it to them to stock the products, if someone has it to sell?

employee at gamestop told me that they were going to stop having DC stuff alltogether.hopefully, one of the two (EB or Gamestop) will actually keep on carrying stuff, because that is still a fairly large market, moreso than n64. i think the problem is that unlike the ps2 etc, they have no new hardware/software for the DC, and since it is not old enough for people to be replacing it quite yet, they dont have as much stock as they do of things like n64s. sigh

It's EB that still carries the games/systems. The Gamestops around here stopped carrying DC games too.quzar wrote:employee at gamestop told me that they were going to stop having DC stuff alltogether.hopefully, one of the two (EB or Gamestop) will actually keep on carrying stuff, because that is still a fairly large market, moreso than n64.

Gamestop sucks. Poor Funcoland was an awesome store, and Babbages wasn't bad, but they both get sucked up by crappy Gamestop and everything goes downhill. I mean seriously, they won't carry N64, Dreamcast, or Gameboy games, but they have a nice selection of NES and SNES games. Like NES games sell better than Dreamcast games. The OK Pope wrote:The Gamestops around here stopped carrying DC games too.

Well i think the problem is that people arnt bringing in their DC games yet, whereas people bring in NES by the troves, im sure if they didnt have sooooo many of them they would discontinue NES support. I think the people whos DCs still work, arnt gonna be trading in their stuff a lot to get 'next gen' stuff when they have their DC.
