I have 2. Both Jan. 2000 model (1) NTSC-U. One has a dead GD-ROM, and the other is somewhat undead. The undead one is what im using to post this very message. Bought it used from Gamestop for $30. It has trouble loading gdroms and cdr emus and backups, and it makes this weird whisteling noise when it spins a disc sometimes. Still works about 80% of the time tho.
Two. One Sega Sports model, with a Sega Sports controller and one regular one I found at the flea market that I found for $10. The Sports one has an LED mod and the regular one has a broken GD-ROM drive.
1 but its slowly dying on me i'm going to get a second one from a mate (hell i got all his other stuff)
vm $20 good
powerstone $10
modem $i didnt buy this but he said i could
It's a livin' thing, Its a terrible thing to lose.
Five. Three were the white American DCs, all of them brokeded. Not from wearing out, dropped every single one. The third one surprisingly still worked after I dropped it, but now I can't open it, so it's technically broken. One black Sports DC, still in very good condition, and one Japanese white DC. It works okay, but it's really getting worn out.
I want to get a brand new one just in case one of my current ones breaks, but I can't find anyone with a never been opened DC.
I still have my broken DCs, sitting proudly next to each other on a spare shelf.
2, one PAL Australia model, which is hooked up to my old TV, use it for shooting games and two player (games that are better on a bigger screen), the other one (Japanese) is hooked up through my TV card on my PC atm, though hopefully soon I will be able to pickup a good VGA box over the net to hook it straight up to my monitor.
i have had 24. my first one ever i got at the end of production but it didnt play most GD-ROMs, soon after i returned it, I bought a used Sega Sports black DC which is my main DC. That is all for two years, then about a month ago i bought an eBay lot of 22 broken DCs. Since then i have gotten 2 fully functional, one Jap Heatpipe, and one Oct. 2000. Using spare parts i turned my Sega Sports into a heatpipe DC. Oh, for anyone who wondered, they arnt liquid cooled, its a gas of some sort. I had a spare whose fan was broken, so i broke it open. Right now, i have DCs sprawled all over the place, out of what I have tested it seems about 10 are functional but missing pieces. so yea...24. (do i win? )

One - an Australian PAL DC (HKT-3030). I think it's GD drive might slowly be on the way out, or possibly it just overheated a bit. It seems fine now, but it was having some trouble reading discs a while back.
