Massive DCFactory Updates: Nester, DCStella and DreamSNES!
Been doing some coding and updating, so tons of new stuff for you guys tonight in the world of DCFactory, so here we go:
Nester Selfboot v1.5
- Supports long file names (no more 8.3)!
- Supports subdirs in the roms folder (requires a recent build of nester!)
DreamSNES Selfboot v1.1
- Will no longer remove music from 0.9.6 (bad idea)
- Allows you to use your own ROMS.LST (requested)
- Added a "fix rom names" option that will automatically "fix" 31-char filenames, and generate a proper ROMS.LST (much requested)
DCStella Selfboot v1.1b
- Supports DCStella v0.2b
- Now requires a theme to use
Get proper zips and themes from here. And speaking of themes, there are LOTS of nester themes available Here, up to 55 now, and still growing!
All the above scripts can be had by clicking the Scripts tab of DCF, and they're as usual conveniently listed under Available Scripts.
Thankyou, and good night.

let me just say your dc factory is a major time saver. i use to do things the old fashion way. but when i stumbled on to your app man it was great. i fell in love with it.
but do any you script writers think you can do a script for the DC Divx player? think it'd be cool
anyways keep up the good work

Doesn't crash for me... Try giving us a little more information about your setup and maybe we can help you..

Good to hear I helped someone, somewhere
A script for DC-DivX is in the works, but I wanted to wait until it's a little more mature then it is now (next alpha perhaps).
And to those who were having connection problems, well, my server had some problems but they're resolved now.

Why, are you volunteering to make me a nice graphic?
I'm just a programmer man, not an artist... (that new layout was kindly contributed by GreenTea_)

SinisterTengu wrote:Yeah the new GUI is cool. But it would be even cooler if it matched the colors of the new site. You know, like black with red outlines and stuff. And maybe some more graphics to make it purty. And add a nice graphic to that "DCF: What do YOU want to do today?" page.

Must be the right/left brain thing.. people who are logical are great at programming, and sucky at art..

Idiot!
I'm obviosly new to this. The scripts came pre-installed....heh
Anyway, I started doing the NesterDC task, and an error came up while it was performing the task. While it was creating the Self-Boot CDI, it said file not found.
What's wrong?
Edit:
Scratch all of this. I think the image was made properly this time...But I still do have one question. I'm burning a nero image. Should I choose the disc at once or track at once option?

it's ok a lot of this stuff might be frightening and new but it's also fairly simple too.
i remeber when i first started reading about IP.BIN's and 1ST_READ.BIN's and how you have to hack them and etc. i was kinda nervous about wasting CDR's lol burning money and all. but the best way to learn is trial and error. so just don't give up. if it doesn't work or freaks out or something, look for FAQ's and ReadMe's. In other words, Do Your Homework!! LOL
Anyways with nero i always go "disc-at-once" works for me

Not fair how some get all the talent.
