DCVision.com down? o_0

Post by Van_Lardo »

Erm... WHAT?!?

I can't seem to get onto http://www.dcvision.com . It said "internal server error" before, but now it just says "page cannot be displayed" (in the usual manner that IE does from time to time).

Is anyone else having trouble accessing it?

If so, does anyone know what the problem is? :?

Neither Here.

If it said "internal service error", that's MSIIS (Microsoft Internet Information Server) erroring out. My guess is that they WERE doing some editing/pulling of some of the Access DBs. Now, since the browser can't even "find" the server, but it does get the IP, and it tells you quite quickly that the server can't be found, MSIIS has been completely shut down, while the computer is still online.

Geeze, I'm an art guy, why do I know this?

Here, just type this into your webbar, and you can go straight to the forums:

http://cvforums.wolfnet.org/YaBB.cgi

Blah blah blah, so the link won't be screwy...

The logo isn't appearing at the top of the forum index... does this mean that the picture source has been shifted or deleted? :?

If so... what the HECK is going on? :(

I'm not really sure, I emailed the server admin's asking about it.. so I assume i'll get a reply soon. I suspect it'll be back up later today but I can't say for sure. :|

I think Consolevision's DNS is screwed up thats why it's showing the "Bad Gateway" error.

Well, we just changed servers so that we don't have to put up with that assh*le admin anymore. It will take some time before we get all our scripts running again. But in just a bit, we will be fully running so that we can get you guys news...

By the way, update your links, we will no longer be at dcvision.com, but the full http://www.consolevision.com/ . The forums are still running fine, and any news we missed was posted in the General Site News Forum.

just to follow up IUG's post, http://www.consolevision.com will be the only URL directing to the main site that you're used to, however http://www.dcvision.com will soon be used to direct to the Dreamcast only site similar to DCemu.. probrably something most people on these boards would rather visit. It's not quite ready yet, but don't delete those dcvision.com bookmarks yet
