Dreamcast NEWBIE!
I purchased a Dreamcast, not knowing there was a lot of cool stuff you can do to them... Can someone point me in the right direction for some free games, and tips for burning? Thanks a bunch!

Re: Dreamcast NEWBIE!
If by 'free games' you mean ISOs/ROMs (ANYBODY KNOW WHERE I CAN FIND DREAMCAST ROMS [hahaha, I miss that old thread]), I think it's probably still against the forum rules to post links to them. Use a search engine (or file sharing service of some sort).spincooba wrote:I purchased a Dreamcast, not knowing there was a lot of cool stuff you can do to them... Though if you do choose to emulate, I'd go with DreamSNES. ^_^
It's not slow if you turn sound and speed off >_>; (oldbies will get it)

Oh ok ^^:
Well I haven't been around for a while, so the best I can tell you is to search around the areas on the main page for a while, there might be something listed in the links or in the news that might be of interest.

Read the tutorial there and you will be able to put a bunch of homebrew games and apps on one CD.

Just go on the homebrew section and have a field day. That's always fun. I usually trust DiskJuggler, the Nero demo gives me problems, won't go into details, not too familiar with the rules. As far as SNES goes though, http://members.lycos.co.uk/saddsnes/ is supposedly the best. Good luck.
For movies, DCDivX is the best. You need to be more picky with the way you burn them though. If you're starting out, I've found that the DC Movie Player test 2 version works well. It plays some divx files that the DC DivX won't.

Does DreamInducer have a different divx player than DCDivX?

If you know how to manually create your own DreamInducer menus then you can have it play DivX movies from a custom menu. Just, instead of <ITEM, use <MOVIE in your .dxl file.NemesisCakeWafer wrote:Does DreamInducer have a different divx player than DCDivX?
I made a program a while back that will make a DivX menu for DreamInducer, and works with Selfboot Inducer. You should still be able to find that tool at http://onethirty.8m.com.
Just keep in mind that you still have to encode your movies to be compatible with DCDivX, as DreamInducer uses the code from DCDivX (beta 3 I believe) to play the movies.
