Totally legal filesharing!
[/misleading topic]
FurthurNet is a multi-platfrom filesharing network, dedicated to legally traded live shows. Not every band's shows are available though, here is a list of allowed bands.
Far superior to getting "The White Stripes live @ The Ryman, Nashville.mp3f.rar" from kazaa, as files on the Furthur network are usually distributed as SHNs (lossless audio compression).

Unless Metallica changes their taping/trading policy, they will stay on.CoasterKing wrote:On thier list of bands that are currently allowed to be traded, they have Metallica listed.
I don't see that lasting very long!
FurthurNet only allows live music to be shared.
They have run into legal troubles, though. A company that sells Phish shows (without Phish's consent and without giving profits to Phish) threatened legal action, and Phish was temporarily removed from Furthur (Phish's back now).

yeah.i think it's because they think they're respected vets of metal that they can make any half-assed bull-shit album and it would automatically be coined as platinum.Metallica sucks. Not just because of the whole napster thing though. Listen to their latest album and you'll see what i mean lol.
French Connection United Kingdom should be renamed to French Union Connection Klothing

I'll stick to my CD-quality SHNs.

My girlfriend recently got this program, and she seems to be liking it.
I remember not using Napster when I first started getting on the internet. Everyone I knew was talking about how great it was. I tried it before it went down, and was like, "What's so great about it when the other people are always disconnecting for whatever reason?" I'm not really into music so I only ever get overclocked remixes. I don't need a filesharing program for that.
