Christian Bale from American Psycho (=

http://www.comicbookmovie.com/misc/arti ... w%20Batman!!

Him and Collin Farrel (for Year One) were my choices for the caped crusader. Finally they got a good actor to play the dark knight.

Thats pretty good news, He was really excellent in American Psycho (I only saw it about 6 months ago) but his presence was spot on.

I'm just so relieved that the role didn't go to Ashton Kutcher who was trying to go for it >_< Personally I think Val Kilmer played the best role of batman so far.

I always thought Michael Keaton was the best, despite his small stature, he's a far superior actor than Clooney and Kilmer.

Michael Keaton was the best Batman. However, with this movie, they are trying to tell the early story of Batman (a prequel, if you will). Christian Bale will be alright, but my number one choice wasn't even considered. I would have chosen James Franco. He's the guy that played Harry Osborn in Spiderman, and he played James Dean in the TV movie about Dean's life. I think he really could have pulled off the angst and confusion of a young Bruce Wayne.

Oh well, I have to say that I am also relieved that Ashton Kutcher didn't get the role. That would have been a complete farce.

You know, Adam West was my personal favorite. All joking aside however, when is it coming out?

And...

It's going to be directed by Chistopher Nolan, the genius behind Memento.

The script will probably still suck, not looking forward to this one
Actually, I think David Boreanaz is pretty cool. He may be geared a little more toward television acting than movie acting, though.

Another thought, since someone brought up the director: Guy Pearce would have made a pretty cool Batman (he was the guy in Memento, right?).

Holy.... the guy from "Dude, where's my car?" portraying Bruce Wayne. I think I'd have to seek out the person responsible for casting and become just a little bit homicidal.

I don't think I've seen any of Bale's movies, but hopefully he'll do a better job than George Freakn Clooney.

You guys should all check out the batman movie Dead End. it's a fan fic but it's better than the last two. I liked michael keaton it's just to me he couldn't pull off being Batman but he pulled off bruce perfectly. Kilmer had the look and the act down pretty well. According to rumours the villian is going to be R'as al Ghul, I was hoping for the Scarecrow but eh...cant win them all.

Angel is cool & one of my favourite shows, but Boreanaz isn't a very good actor.

Pearce was in Memento, but more importantly he was in Neighbours! He might have got the Batman role he but said he didn't want to play him in a few interviews he did a couple of months ago, so that took him out of the equation.

I never get my hopes up for superhero movies anymore, but all I know is that this one better be dark as hell. All the movies recently have been to light, you know. I want some dark crap, I want the villians to be evil and the movie a bit darker than the comics.
