lol... Wish I had that problem. I'm a bass player. (and guitar player when need be, but I'm much better on bass.) All the girls that saw me play seemed a little scared of me...IM(r)eaper wrote:You have it what ever i do is me in the end. What do you want? song etc use to do this and take requests all it got me is a heap of female fans wanting my home address.

dc midi
That's amazing! I've always wondered how to get ahold of dreamcast midi sounds and somehow make music like you did. Yeah to be honest, on the majority of the tracks I used Reason. I used to have keyboards, drums machines, and all that but I found i can do it all and more with Reason and a midi controller. Also, I was getting really tired of midi programming all the songs, and I was pushing 5 or 6 midi devices all independantly sequencing in sync. Now it's all on screen and easy. When I want to use vocals or guitar I multitrack with whatever I'm in the mood to use. If I'm in a hurry I use cool edit 2.0. If I'm being nitpicky I use Nuendo. If I'm somewhere in between I use Vegas. I use cool edit for mastering (assisted by plugins) and sound forge for encoding. To tell you the truth several programs are involved when I make a song....but I've become so accustomed to audio software over the years it has became a very routine and quick process (recording/mixing/mastering).What do YOU use?
Much of the music you heard is composed with only a Dreamcast

You're using Reason? Hehehe )))
I thought you were using something less professional
If I had Reason,I just can imagine what I could do...
I use only a DC which has lots of limitations, both memory limitations, quality limitations and expressivity limitations.
But I have a PC now,lol wait till you hear what I can do using ONLY the DEMO version of Fruity Studio 4.1 ,using ONLY the crappy samples included with the program. And the DEMO version of this software - it's free
No Sound Forge,No Cubase,No Reason,No GigaStudio, nothing, just the "good ol' fruit" and a high-quality Terratec MIDI keyboard with pitch/modulation controls, touch sensitive and programmable
German Technology rules!
AMD,Terratec,Mercedes Benz own

aced411, http://www.fruityloops.com download the newest Fruity Studio 4.12 It is even better now ,brand new plugins added :0
It's cheap,only 0$ hehehe
And it allows you to EXPORT your work to WAV or MP3,even though it's a DEMO.
But you can't SAVE the project for later rework and additional tweaking, rearranging and remixing
Duh,but what can U expect more from a DEMO?

fruity loops
it looks pretty cool....but it'll take some learning curve. works a little like the new cakewalk project 5 program, but seems easier to use. I'll play with it.

I'm using Fruity Studio 4 now... finally upgraded to it from Fruity 3.56 and I don't have any hardware, just a load of soft synths that I *acquired*
Anyway, the latest tune I've been working on for a dude I've been working with for a couple of months (Been working on this particular remix for about 3 days - and it isn't quite finished yet but you'll get the idea ):
Click to stream (RealMedia)

Yes,Fruity Studio is FAST and EFFECTIVE,unlike other programs with which need to spend hours of nonefficient work.
Fruity rules in combination with a MIDI keyboard and you can have professional results with even your crappy On-Board sound card
Just you gotta have two 3 GHz CPUs to render a 8-minute multi-track song with the slow-as-hell Sinc Depth 256 interpolation method

fruity software
new track up. trancy hard techno. Called "fight to the death"
Look if you guys are so worried about flawless audio fidelity then use .ogg format. It's FAR superior to mp3 with smaller file size. Anyway yeah fruity loops looks dope especially for the price, but I don't like pattern based sequencing except for the drums. I'll keep playing with it, but I love Reason. I will admit the interface looks damn cool.
