I don't have a modded Xbox... then again I don't have an Xbox, but my Brother-in-law has an unmodded one.

i was just wonderin cuz a lot of people here were talking about xbox chips and bios's and stuff

i'm taking a serious look into getting xbox live, so thats why mine's still unmodded

My Xbox is unmodded. I'll mod it someday but for now i'm into DC emulation.

Well, I'm into DC emulation, and when PS2 gets it's hard drive I'm sure I can bypass the problem of the modchip, so XBOX is ignored for now.

Mine's un modded. Well, it's actually my stepdads. We have xbox live and he doesn't ever use it, so I was thinking about asking to install a mod chip.

Hopefully that ps2 thing will breathe some life into mine. My brothers use it all the time and I don't. If I had a job, I'd buy some bloody games...

Mine ain't modded simply cause im too lazy. I would physically mod it but lack of cash. This seems good to me though...

It's as simple as burn image, use disc, insert disc with bios on ? Sounds good...

No.. Buy a mod, install, flash bios, install Evox or MXM, FTP files to your Xbox, launch files. Easy as it can get.

I am currently in the process of switching from EvoX to MXM.

As for a BIOS, use any of the current Xecuter BIOSes.. I've used x2 4976.02 noani blue for a while, then just recently upgraded to x2 4977 noani with a custom color scheme for the X at startup.

As for disabling the mods, the X2.2 Lite, Lite Plus, and Pro have external switches to disable it. You can wire External switches to the Matrix, or use Mode 3 to disable and enable, and you can disable the Chameleon too. All chips are disableable, even Cheapmods, but wiring a switch between d0 and the ground point for it.

So, basically, old cps-1 games like Strider, Final Fight, and Area88 are fullspeed then?

If so, then I'm gonna have to get a chip soon. My custom-built stick (thanks eckostyle) is a week away from shipping and Kawa-X sounds just perfect.
