anyone on the forums with "roms.lst" success...

Anything DreamSNES-related can be asked in this forum, such as general questions about the emulator, how to burn it, etc.

It works quite well... although many people don't know the correct format. each line should read: game.smc:Description of Game.
Example:
Chrono.smc:Chrono Trigger
Mario.smc:Super Mario World
Cvania4.smc:Super Castlevania

and so on and so forth. Throw all your roms in a directory called "roms", and throw the .lst file in the same directory. You'll know it works when you load the menu in the emulator and the list is displayed extremely fast...

THANKS KRYPT!! YOUR A GENIUS!! :D :D :D

EDIT: KRYPT, i just want to point this out :) your program creates the roms.lst in a txt file WITHOUT line breaks. I had to open it with Microsoft Word and then save it again as a 'Text-Only File WITH Line Breaks'. This fixed this up.
I just thought i'd tell you before everyone starts flooding you and this board with messages like "How do you get krypts prog to create a proper roms.lst!" ;)
Thanks again dude!

it replaces all the spaces and symbols in the filname with underscores

so..

Pac-Man (PD).smc becomes Pac_Man__PD_.smc

before i use my last CD on this, i wanna check this is right

THATS QUITE INTENTIONAL

It HAS line breaks, it's just un UNIX format, not PC.
If you leave it in PC format, blocks appear after the filenames (extra character).

It replaces all non-alphanumeric characters (except .) with underscores, and capitalizes the filename.. this is to duplicate what the files will be named on an ISO9660 image.. the reason nobody had gotten this to work before was they were using windows filenames.. that's a no-no, as that's not what's on the CD.

Nester ignores Joliet, which is what's giveing you the windows filenames.
