SNES-on-a-chip?
I've heard people say that the N64 Tristar contained an entire NES on a single chip. The Tristar also played SNES games, so does that mean the SNES is also contained on a single chip?

I thought of that too, but then I thought to myself, "Hang on a minute, wouldn't it be easier and cheaper to get a GBA Flash Cart and use the NES emulator? And that way you can play translated versions of FFII and FFIII portably, and won't have to buy any games, ever".JAaron77 wrote:yea, that would be greatJuggalo_Jay wrote:I woul pay well for one of those Nes-on-a-chips... really wanna make a portable from one of those

Or you could buy a GameAxe, although once you've added the family convertor you've got a virtually unplayable way of playing games.

Most of the carts are only half full, some less. You could do a custom jobby and cut them down easily. Although width would still be a problem.Firthy2002 wrote:Yeah you can't really make a portable NES cos of the cart size.
I was thinking, Ben's site has a guide for lengthening the connections between a console and the cartridge port. Why not make a 4 foot extension cable for it, so that the carts are on a long piece of wire, tucked away in your pocket or whatever.
