from what I can see on the dreamsnes home page, the roms.lst file just wants one filename per line. Since typing in all those rom files sounded completely retarded to me, us isu dormies came up with a much easier method...
Here's a really great way to do this in Win2k/XP (easily adaptable to 9x):
1. open your CLI, (start>run, type CMD and hit enter)
2. goto your Roms directory (type "cd directoryname" w/o the quotes)
3. type in this, without the quotes again: "for %f in (*.*) do echo %f >> roms.lst". You'll see a nice flow of text while that little loop does its thing, and when it's done, your roms.lst is set.
You're welcome :)
(Thanks, Ray)

pavelbure how did youg get it to work?
ok that's great that you got it to work but would you maybe enlighten the rest of us here.. does the file have to be somewhere else other than the roms dir or what
Another way to get this done is open a command window, go to the directory containing your ROMs, then type "dir /on /b>roms.lst" and it will do the same as above.
My question is does DreamSNES support spaces in filenames? I know NESter doesn't, and it made one hell of an ugly list.

How can I say I'm great..? When theres not another greater.

Here is how to make a roms.lst file...
Start your MS-DOS session. Go to the directory with all the .nes files. Now type this line command.
dir /a:-d /o-n /b > roms.lst
This will take the file name of every file in the directory so make sure that you only have .nes files in this directory. Please let me know if you get this to work for you. Thanks hope this helps!
