Post by Chainfist »

Mc Donalds is putting Sega Handheld games like Super Monkey Ball and Sega Racing into happy meals.

Check out the websit for Wallpaper Downlods and an online Super MonkeyBall mini game!

Yeah, they're like Nintendo's game & watch. Meanwhile, two of those games have ONE BUTTON. Total. Oh the incredible depths of gameplay you can achieve with a single button. You could press it... or NOT press it, at any given time. The options are endless. ;)
- Interesting.

Exuse me but some of the best games in the world had one button or less :-) Pong anyone? Thay are actually pretty fun, I only need one more. My only complaint is the case, they need to have more color to them

Well, for the kind of games you can get on that kind of hardware, one button is probably more than sufficient.

Anyway, the joysticks used on the C64, Amiga, and most of the Atari systems only had one button. And there were a lot of good games for those. 2D Sonic games need only one button.

Those "best games in the world" had one button or less... plus a JOYSTICK. This has just the button. We're talking about the equivalent of a game of "let's turn the lights on and off" as far as fun goes.

2D sonic games require 5 buttons. Up, down, left, right and jump/spin.

That was my point. Just the button.

Erm... you mean literally just a single button. That's kind of weird. What's the game actually supposed to do?

These are Happy Meal toys not like the electronic games Tiger made way back when. I think a few people expect a little to much out of a Happy Meal, heck compared to the toys they have most of the time these are TOP OF THE LINE.

I don't expect anything from a Happy Meal, just from Sega. Somehow I think this was an executive decision, I doubt that Sonic Team would be happy about it. (Maybe they should buy the meal? Haw haw.)

I've played the "Tails" game and its pretty basic. Tails moves up and down and collects rings that are coming towards him.. the frequency of the rings and speed increases as you play.. pretty simple.

The Monkey Ball game has Bananas falling from the sky and the monkey moves left and right trying to catch the Bananas... again.. pretty simple..

There is sound too.. it goes.. "beep" like a digital watch...

But the games are only worth 0.93 CDN or about 0.60 US.. so its a pretty good deal for a SEGA collector... maybe an avid VMU programer may try to "port" these games over to the VMU...

Most likely in the near future they will be all over eBay as a collection. And they'll probably be very expensive too. It's like people that like those stupid bobble head things that they pay hundreds of dollars for, my god those things suck anal hole, but people seem to enjoy playing with the head. I think there even one that has a button where the heads plays with itself.
