No, you can still use your 56K. There are some Free dreamcast internet accounts that you can use that are on the net. I had a link but I can never seem to find it when I need it. Ill either post the link later, unless someone beats me to it.

Keep in mind the only games that work online now are PSO v1 and v2, StarLancer, Outtrigger, Quake 3, 4x4 evolution, and a warez bowling game.

You can't connect a 56k modem through a broadband connection. If you are using DSL, you must disconnect your DSL modem and plug the Dreamcast modem's cable into the phone line.

If you are using cable or other broadband servicee, you need a BBA to connect your Dreamcast directly to the cable/dsl/lan device.

Owell I'll cross my fingers and hope the servers stay up cause I'm probably gonna buy a BBA soon.

below is whats taken from Sega's site :

Home > Help > Playing Online

Attention Dreamcast Gamers - important news regarding online gaming services!
As we continue to focus on the future, it is time for us to disconnect our online Dreamcast game servers. Effective June 2003, the only Dreamcast titles that Sega will continue to support online are Phantasy Star Online and Phantasy Star Online ver. 2. No other Dreamcast titles will be playable online after this time.

We hope you enjoyed our online gaming services that were extended six months beyond the original shutdown date. Thank you for supporting Dreamcast online gaming!

Hello people..

There is only PSO / PSO 2 and maybe quake 3 that are running if you look on the sega stil itself then on the dreamcast section it says from april 2003 they closed all there servers bar those ones.

and thats why i am P*ssed off as i got the BBA and the Planet Web 3.0 BB passport to play all the games online as I went out and got them.

I got the dream eye the other day is there anymore software for it? or homebrew ideas?
