Shuttle PCs

Anyone had any experience with these? They are barebone PCs (just a motherboard, case, power supply) and you have to kit them out yourself.
I am a sucker for anything in a shiny case...[/img]

they are sweet as hell, and as I posted in an older topic (I believe posted by Az_Bont but can't be bothered to go look right now) if I was building a new PC I'd go with one of those.

I would almost certainly get rid of the crappy old legacy FDD bay thats fitted and go with some extra cooling though.

I have one and they are awesome. I've had the SN41G2(nforce 2) for about 7 months now and it has worked great. It is really nice to set up on my TV and use to watch movies or play emulators. I have mine set up as follows:

Shuttle SN41G2
Athlon XP 2700
512x2 MB OcZ PC3200
Segate Baracuda IV 80 GB
Ricoh 20x10x40x12 CD-RW/DVD
Onboard GeForce 4 MX440 128 MB
Hauppauge WinTV PCI
WinXP SP1

A good site to visit for information on them is http://www.sfftech.com
Right now there's a good deal on the SS51G v2.0. They are about $170 after a recent instant price rebate and have a lot of good features.

I still don't know why people who make super small PC cases don't always make them desktop models, that will always save space because it just goes under the monitor.. oh well. I like my hulking Thermaltake full tower :)
