Here's my second attempt at a DreamSNES roms.lst builder. It was made according to the steps that Proveaux provided. To use it, drop it in a directory of Snes roms and run it. If it works well/sucks etc just let me know. A 2kb download for the bored

I was hoping you could add DCStella support.
Instead of having Yes and No as your opions at the warning window, have DreamSNES, DCStella, and Cancel. I hacked the first release and the only thing different needed for DCStella would be change the colon to a space, change SMC to BIN, change SNS_ to ATI_, change the output file to ROM_LIST.TXT, and have the output file moved to the root of the CD. Hopefully I didn't forget anything, but if I did, I'm sure you already knew all this anyway.
DCStella
ATI_0001.BIN 11 Sprite Demo (Piero Cavina) (PD)
DreamSNES
SNS_0001.SMC:15 Puzzle 1 (PD)
I tested it on DCStella and it worked great.
Hopefully I'll get my Snes disc back tonight so I can test it out on that.

Actually, this app is completly based on my DCStella one. It has almost the exact same functionality, but it even renames the roms using Good2600. You can snag a copy from:

WOW.
I don't know how I missed out on that release. If I had known, I would have been using it. It would still be great to have an all in one app that uses the names you have. I sometimes remove the Good2600 tags if I'm going to make a PD/what ever only disc.
Both apps are definitely worth the downloads and great time savers. Thanks burnerO.

This doesn't use GoodSNES, but I could make it do so using the same method as DCStella.
This was basically an attempt to convert Proveaux's steps into a little prog. And anything I code is public domain/do whatever the hell you want with it ware. If it weren't for the authors who's applications I use, none of this would have ever been possible.

That what it should do. You should also have a file called ROMS.LST in the directory with the roms. Make a DreamSNES disc with the renamed roms and the ROMS.LST, and you should be able to see which was which through the DreamSNES menu.Inu_Sess__ wrote:I tried it and it turned all my roms names to SNES_0001 ect. up through the number of roms I have so I didn't know which was which.
But I prob used it wrong.

I used it wrong, I believe.
I think I used it wrong. The list has to be with the Dream snes itself, doesnt it? If so, I did do it wrong. O.o' There went two rom disks. (don't ask where I got that many roms.) Anyway, I can't make my own Dreamsnes disk so >.<' I guess this wont help me... >.>'
Yup... It really works, forget the speed for now, as long as it works, GREAT JOB people! *claps*

Johnnylee_hang: It is a roms list builder. It will make a list of your roms for DreamSNES to read, making the menu run MUCH faster.Hmm.............What is this all about? Tell me a little. What does it do? What do this files help BurnerO?
Burnero: Well I promised to try it out on the next disc and did so. It worked AWESOME!!! Thanks burnero for another great tool.

menu may run faster, but there's no use of it. It's still the same though. What all people in this forum is looking for is a new update that can play any games and run much faster. Faster????? I mean a full speed with sound....
I'm counting on you (dreamcast)....beat X-BOX and other System out there.......
Go for the highest speed dreamcast and blow all system off the way.......
