Interesting. I bet they're still quite expensive, though not nearly what they once were. And of course, WTF would you get blanks? I'd like to have one anyways though.got that from slashdot.com I imagine the Laserdisc burners float around from place to place and r relativey inexpensive now since they arnt a collectors item yet. I want one

Im sure u could find plaenty of blanks, buy 100 from some pace in HK they r still floating around and companies that used to produce LD movies have em lying around somewhere.Interesting. I bet they're still quite expensive, though not nearly what they once were. And of course, WTF would you get blanks? I'd like to have one anyways though.

im shure you can ask my old highschool teacher she has one lol but seriously, seems a lot of school districts purchased LD players, and btw, i dont know where you can buy blanks, but you can find TONS of LD movies just go to China Town or a Hong Kong Palace or actually go to Hong Kong lol but the actual discs are bigger than vynl records why would you want something like that?

LD players are a still a must own for cinephiles, because of all the legacy titles - TONS of out of print stuff, and unlike VHS, laserdiscs don't degrade (laser rot doesn't count).
It's worth noting that the combo players are like a combo cassette/CD thing. It's totally seperate hardware, in one box. Some of the combo players actually have a seperate tray for the DVD/CDs.
This is true. WTF is up with asking if it can play PSX games!? SERIOUSLY? THINK for a second... Blah.ya pioneer cam out with a version that can play vcds svcds and dvds

laser disc
if ya want movies check out ebay I have about 50 mostly anime also I found a laserdisc writer at DI (utah thrift shop) doesn't work though and the discs have to be specialy made and cost about $200 each
