Does anyone here have a Laserdisc player?

got that from slashdot.com I imagine the Laserdisc burners float around from place to place and r relativey inexpensive now since they arnt a collectors item yet. I want one
Interesting. I bet they're still quite expensive, though not nearly what they once were. And of course, WTF would you get blanks? I'd like to have one anyways though.

I haven't been able to find them. Looked around on eBay and searched around. I'd imagine you probably could find some in Japan or the rest of Asia, as LDs were huge there.

im shure you can ask my old highschool teacher she has one  lol but seriously, seems a lot of school districts purchased LD players, and btw, i dont know where you can buy blanks, but you can find TONS of LD movies just go to China Town or a Hong Kong Palace or actually go to Hong Kong lol but the actual discs are bigger than vynl records why would you want something like that?

LD players are a still a must own for cinephiles, because of all the legacy titles - TONS of out of print stuff, and unlike VHS, laserdiscs don't degrade (laser rot doesn't count).

This is true. WTF is up with asking if it can play PSX games!? SERIOUSLY? THINK for a second... Blah.

It's worth noting that the combo players are like a combo cassette/CD thing. It's totally seperate hardware, in one box. Some of the combo players actually have a seperate tray for the DVD/CDs.
