if you are running windows xp, the seems to be no way at this time to play games from cd-rom, you have to use CDRwin and make a bin and cue file, copy the bin and cue file to the same folder as the emu,area wrote:I'm having problems getting it to run - my original CDs won't work from the CD-ROM drive and I can't rip them (I get lots of errors)
and go to your start menu and click on run, you will get another window to come up in that window type cmd, if that doesn't work type command.
then command window will pop up a black window, in that window go to the emus folder, eg cd c:\girigiri\
once you type that then type gentoc and the name of your cue file
eg:
gentoc daytona.cue
then it will make a toc file
once thats done close the dos command window and go to your girigiri folder, and open base.ini and you will get something that looks like this
;???{????????t?@?C??
[BASEINFO]
USERDIR=profiles\saturn
AREA=12
DISK1TOC=.\toc.bin
DISK1IMG=.\toc.bin
so change disc1img to the name of ya game
eg:
DISK1TOC=.\toc.bin
DISK1IMG=.\daytona.bin
then click on the big picture and the emu should start
and don't forget to change your area settings
1 Japan
2 Asia NTSC
4 North America
5 Mid + South America NTSC
6 Korea
10 Asia PAL
12 Europe Etc PAL/SECAM
13 Mid + South America PAL
so if you live in say if the game your running is U.S well then you would put 4 as your area settings
eg:
AREA=12
well i hope this helps everyone who has been having problems running the emu.
