shouldnt we be alowed to say where to get it?
<carefully worded> Hey yall.. Dont forget that you cant post certain things to keep this wonderful site 'sponsible. If you have a question and are not sure if you should post it, you can always PM or e-mail anybody here and ask em whatever you want legal or no if they have a link... Keep it off the forums, though. This is an interesting topic, so let's try to keep it going.

I remember reading in the Official Dreamcast Magazine that Half-Life for DC was getting a graphical facelift when compared to the pc version released back in 1998. Based upon comparing screenshots in the magazine, it is evident. However, since pc games are always getting patched and updated all the time, was their ever a patch for the PC version to spruce up the visuals to atleast DC quality by default simply because computers these days could handle it with all of those snazzy new video cards?

Go buy Blue Shift. With it comes a High Definition Pack for models for Blue Shift, Half Life and Opposing Force.

Those 3 copies were most likely bootlegs.
If you think typing 'make' is hard, forget coding.
If you can't figure out the commands to DC-Tool, forget coding.
If you think coding is as easy as typing printf("Hello World\n"); , shoot yourself.

Warez monkies, the lot of ya!! lol

Naw, I'd be playing Half life too if I could find it. But anyways, is there a chance that the final version(Or 'katana' coded version) will be leaked in the future?
This half life stuff seems so awesome but I've never played it. I'm sure I could convince my stepdad to buy it for xbox if it comes out. Or if it's already out.

(Ohh man, I'm so banned! jk)

Tried using the DC version data with the PC version. Replacing the wads worked all right, but it would appear that the two pak files aren't compatible. It would always hang on the loading screen. I tried opening the DC pak in wally and it didn't display the directory heirarchy properly. I don't know enough about HL or Quake to know why this stuff is happening, but there you go.

There is no Katana coded version that was to some out and this build was just a made a few days before the game was canned. It was only made with WinCE.

Its a shame this game wasn't released, it could have definately sold a lot more dreamcasts.

(if that ? is a no no, let me know and i'll edit it out)

k...I am a noob so take it easy on me in case I say anything wrong.

I have been following Half-Life for DC ever since I first read about it, and I have been waiting in hopes that someday it will be released. Just 2 days ago I finally got it. From all that I have read, I have come to understand that the game was actually completed and released, but recalled immediatley. So, it was just a matter of time that the few people that did get their hands on it would release it online. I have played it all the way through (both games) and it is perfection. If anyone would like to have it I can throw it on Kazaa or anyone can PM me and ask me about it. (I hope I am helping)

Most probably you've got the unfinished WinCE version. When you first look at it it looks perfect, but if you pay attention you can find bugs and unfinished things.
