easy way to get the full version of Wolf3d for the emu

This forum is for discussion pertaining to homebrew and indie software for the Dreamcast, such as homebrew games, emulators/interpreters, and other homebrew software/applications. Porting requests and developmental ideas are not to be made here; you can make those here. If you need any help burning discs for homebrew software, this is the place to ask as well.

Ouch, that magazine is 10 bucks in Canada and our "minimum" wage (the least amount the government or corporations can pay us right now) is 6 bucks an hour (pretty sad since you have to work 60 hours a week just to barely survive), glad I already own Wolf3d (wipe brows), or you could put "wolf3d.zip" in a search engine, and...

But... in the eyes of the law there is NO such thing as Abandonware, as the copyright holders (in this case, I.D.) hold the copyright for 75 years - therefore this game is NOT legally freely available (unless it's the shareware version ;) )

There are some cases where Abandonware (in a way) DOES exist, and that's only because the copyright holder has allowed their games etc... to be available freely.

Abandonware does exist, but its usually only games that were written by a single author, as there are too many peoples consent needed for most software written by 'teams' especially where those teams are no longer together.

A good example of a completely legitimate pice of abandonware would be Elite which both Ian Bell and David Braben have both said is now 'free for all'.

It is also, may I add, one of the best games ever...
