Rise of the Triad port....
Bero has been busy again and ported the excellent first person shooter Rise of the Triad to the DC
Take a look:

I haven't tried it yet but will do when I extract my full game files from the PC version.
Any impressions please post in here

Didn't mean it that way, Kron . That's some disadvantage of typing, you don't know how the other one tells or type it. And problem I have, because English is not my native language I can't express myself the way I want because I try to avoid the difficult words. (Even had to search for the word "pedantic" )

I'm trying to figure out what I am doing wrong. I placed my original files from the PC version in a folder called "Rott" on the root of the cd and burned. I get "Now Loading" on the screen for a second, then a black screen. Any ideas?

After testing the Shareware ROTT in Windows with rottwin, that works, but my original files do not. Can it be a filename thing? Or maybe my original files are corrupt?

It's kinda like Wolf3D - it needs a different program to run the Shareware and full-game data files. Basically, the WAD file names are different, and a lot of stuff is disabled in the shareware version.zektor wrote:After testing the Shareware ROTT in Windows with rottwin, that works, but my original files do not. Got the same problem and couldn't figure it out also. Turns out that the binary released by bero only runs the shareware version... See the other topic for that. (that?s what I was pointing to, the info is scattered over 2 topics now).zektor wrote:I'm trying to figure out what I am doing wrong.
