This forum is for discussion pertaining to homebrew and indie software for the Dreamcast, such as homebrew games, emulators/interpreters, and other homebrew software/applications. Porting requests and developmental ideas are not to be made here; you can make those here. If you need any help burning discs for homebrew software, this is the place to ask as well.
Didn't mean it that way, Kron . That's some disadvantage of typing, you don't know how the other one tells or type it. And problem I have, because English is not my native language I can't express myself the way I want because I try to avoid the difficult words. (Even had to search for the word "pedantic" )

ITS great fast works better then it ever did on a PC
TS great fast works better then it ever did on a PC
You just had a slow PC last time you played it. Try it with a multi-gigahertz PC and be amased at the two seconds (or less) load times for the levels. I remember having to wait for the levels to load for a couple of mintues on my old 486.
I'm trying to figure out what I am doing wrong. I placed my original files from the PC version in a folder called "Rott" on the root of the cd and burned. I get "Now Loading" on the screen for a second, then a black screen. Any ideas?
After testing the Shareware ROTT in Windows with rottwin, that works, but my original files do not. Can it be a filename thing? Or maybe my original files are corrupt?
worked with the sharware all the files from the pc version go into a dir called rott
1ST_READ.bin on the root of the cd works
THE load times are very fast for me its close to a perfect port and the grafix look nicer then the pc version it plays with the analog stick it saves its very very good port

It's kinda like Wolf3D - it needs a different program to run the Shareware and full-game data files. Basically, the WAD file names are different, and a lot of stuff is disabled in the shareware version.

Got the same problem and couldn't figure it out also. Turns out that the binary released by bero only runs the shareware version... See the other topic for that. (that?s what I was pointing to, the info is scattered over 2 topics now).
