Consolevision has some stuff about PS2 emulation. I only have tried the SNES emulator. IT really isn't much any better then the newest DSNES. If you got a DC I would burn the latest DSNES and not fool with the PS2's SNES emulator. I hear the genesis emulator is really nice though.

The Genesis emulator kicks ass! It's got full speed, full sound, support for most ROMs as long as they're not weird ones (like Street Fighter II Turbo), and puts SegaGEN to shame.

100 more mhz sees ot the emus running nicer on the PS2 and a good cache

like a V8 vs a turbo 4 cyl V8 will win

ps2 has the horse power for the emulators they run not well at all on the dc if they were ported

dreamsnes is better it be fullspeed on the ps2 if ported but amazing how well it runs with the 100 mhz less

well i looked it up. I found that you need to find a way to boot cd-rs. DO YOU NEED A MOD CHIP or some sort of special boot disk? If I would really appricate it if you told me if you do or there is a way of doing it. Please reply with a method or a direct link to it.

Thanks

You need some form of modification. The easiest is to open up the console and wrap some string around something and you can just pull the drive open - there are guides, but it's probably not the best for your console.

You could get a non-solder modchip and Boot Disc or Action Replay quite cheaply, and you'd have no trouble installing it. They do the chip for $10 and the booter for $20 at http://www.success-hk.com

ive tried Pgen & SNES-Station, SNES-Station is a bit faster than dream snes, and PGEN is damn near perfect. of course, you have to figure the PS2 is a lot more powerful than the DC so of course it will run them better. anyway, the easiest way to boot PS2 disk's without using a mod-chip is the PS2 Boot Disk, thats what im going to order in a short while. once i get a job though, ill probably buy an X-box, as well as mod-chips for my X-Box, PS2 & PS. That way, it gives me time to get better at soldering.

the ps2 bootdisc still requires a no solder modchip.
