I think it looks pretty slick. Thanks, Kron.
Now if only they had made it fit older color/classic cartridges better...
Looks like they are continuing with their 'strip down the connectors' trend. They already dropped the external power plug from the last one, wanting you to buy a big clunky adapter that fit into the battery bay, and now they want people to buy an 'adapter' just for headphones and volume control? Geesh...
Still no four face buttons, which would help greatly concidering all the SNES ports it has...
I actually prefer the ability to use normal alkaline/ NiMH batteries, as you can just grab some in just about any shop, anywhere. Would have been better just to use AA/AAAs, as you can always use rechargeable NiMHs....
I'm assuming that 'other' connector along the top is probably for the headphone adapter and maybe the charging header?
Oh, and this backlighting... I wonder if it is the afterburner that Nintendo was in negotiations to aquire, or if they just did a switcheroo on them and used their own?

Ya, can't wait to get the GC game player adapter. The TV adapter I got for my GBA pretty much sucks because of the text and stuff that shows on screen, might as well sell it since I don't have any GBA games.
If you think typing 'make' is hard, forget coding.
If you can't figure out the commands to DC-Tool, forget coding.
If you think coding is as easy as typing printf("Hello World\n"); , shoot yourself.

Maybe the reason Nintendo didn't use The AA/AAA battery's was because that it wouldn't last as long as the Lithium ion batterys.
Is it true nintendo left out the volume control switch. Damn, they're stupid as hell. Maybe the put the volume control inside a menu within the GBA. Just like old cell phones do. I gotta say the design is nice, but hardly slick. I bet there's gonna be a lot of people who are gonna be mad because their gba accessories won't look right on the SP because of its new design.
Doesn't the SP look a lot like those Motorola 2-way pagers.

Nope there is a volume switch (just not sure where exactly) but it's now an analogue slidey thing (bit like the power switch on the current GBA - 'cpet analogue)compacho wrote: Is it true nintendo left out the volume control switch. The GC GBA player has a border around the games as well - dunno if it has full screen or notHyperG wrote:Ya, can't wait to get the GC game player adapter. Course not holding it in my hand I can't say 100 percent how it would be. I thought the next GBA was supposed to have more power and 2 extra buttons?
