I have to say my vote goes to Super Metroid, even if it did come in that bloody huge box!
I picked up this gem of a game many, many years ago reduced from ?50 to a mere ?6 (which was still a semi-large amount of money for a kid) and have enjoyed it since then. I still go back to play it frequently.

Don't worry, I won't kill you. I've never played it to know if I should kill you or not. Personally, despite the hype, I've never liked Final Fantasy 3 (a.k.a. 6).
Anyway, my favorite SNES game would probably go to Super Mario RPG, with Yoshi's Island in second, and Final Fantasy 2 (a.k.a 4) in third.
It's a tie for me between Super Mario RPG, Chrono Trigger, and Yoshi's Island with Earthbound slightly behind. Great games. I wish I owned more of them when I had my SNES.
