:o THANK YOU! This may be simple task for you but I was looking for this a long time and asked around if somebody could release a compiled version. Only WHurricane16 did have a small s3m player in his game Cat's and Dogs. But that one could only handle 10 songs. Well Reaper your creditbility has gone way up now for me.

I post a topic in the main forum with my findings.

Isn't reaper2k the one evrybody took the piss out of because he said that DreamSNES would run faster if it took out MP3 support?

Anyway, good stuff - I'm off to find a load of S3Ms now.

Yes you can leave the disc open and just write the new stuff to it (and if your stuff is small enough you can do this about 40 times!). You can find a tutorial if you go to the DCemu homepage, and do a news search for demomenu.

I've been using DemoMenu to do development. I don't have a coder's cable yet, and I've gone through 4 and a half CDs of stuff. To be fair, most of that was data files (Disc 4 had 300MBs of Doom WAD files on it).

Actually you would still be wrong. 2 megs not used for anything else wouldn't affect the emulator at all. If the app, rom, and mp3 can fit all inside 16mb comfortably, then holding it does not matter.
Second, a function that is not executing does not take up clock cycles. So, when the mp3 player isn't playing, it isn't using clock cycles.
It's the same on PC or DC.

Don't make me call crt0 in here :D

well lets say grandtheft auto 3 when the mp3 plays in it,....and plays while the game runs it does slow it down

but thats a pc game

like i said i did not know dc hardware or emulators that much at all

i was not conviced the mp3 player ever stoped playing even when the rom loaded was my point ......

any ways moving on lol
