i used to download a dreamcats game a day, but my dad got mad and through them away and i havent since. I also used to burn vcds and sell them, but have stopped that also. I am trying to change, only thing i download now is fan-subs, and if the series gets lisenced i wait untill the 1st r1 dvd comes out before throwing away the fansubs, hten i buy that dvd.

i do download mp3's, but i dont burn them i listen to them a few times then delete them.

I never listened to music before file shareing came along. I mostly download orchestrated Game music. There isn't any singers I like now adays. I have a few early 90's late 80's songs so yup I have.

But I would have never paid money for any of the downloads I ahve anyways. That is the problem when you buy a CD. There might be 1 or 2 songs you like and thats it. That is hardly worth 13 bucks.

Sure there is sites you can download legit mp3's but I don't got for paying for a download that I will probably just lose sooner or later anyways.

If the music companys want to do something they outta set up a way to pay only for the songs you want. Id probably buy a cd if I could select from a huge list of songs and have it burned while I wait or something.

Till they do that they can kiss my ass. So all in all I don't buy music now for the same reason I didn't buy it before even the internet was out. And if file shareing is completely taken away then I will be like I was before..musicless.

Wow, really? I can't say that I was really trying anyway, I just wanted to try to defend my position, but every time I went to, My original post was already locked and gone. I think I'm done.

I've gotten a few vcds (ie Bum Fights) and a few albums( make that 30). I usually go out and buy my movies later when I get the money tho.

I download DC games, I have a big collection, but don't need to anymore, amongst friends we have almost every game ever released.

Didn't download PSX since I was never warez familiar at the time, I got a chipped psx, dont feel like downloading crap for it... PC apps, games, music, everyhting. I don't have money, but that doesn't mean I would have bought em even if I did. I buy some stuff like shenmue... and I'm willing to buy shenmue 2, JGR, etc. But other then games that grab me like that, it's not worth it... I remember paying $40 CDN for a game, and then being disapointed... Made me so sad

Anywyas, I know it's wrong, but honestly, I don't care. I wanna play games, I had to save up forever and work forever to buy the systems, my parents don't buy them for me, and I can't expect many games either. Before I warez'ed I bought a game occassionally, and now that I do, that hasn't changed. So I'm not sorry for it, but I know it's wrong. *looks at the cases of games piled up on his tv of warez'ed DC games and smiles*

I can't afford a Lexus, doesn't make it legal for me to go out and take one. Doesn't make it any less stealing. You cannot justify your actions. It's like the 10 Commandments. It's "Thou shalt not kill", not "Thou shalt not kill unless..."

Games are a luxury item, not a necessity. If you were stealing bread to feed your starving family, I could let you slide. Hell, I'd even harbor you from the police and help you out anyway I could. Don't tell me you need Photoshop to feed your starving family.

For the record, yes I have downloaded things I shouldn't have. (Though not anymore.) Doesn't make it right. Doesn't make me right. That does not mean I cannot instill a better moral code in others than I have myself. Who would you listen to, the priest or the reformed sinner? One who has pulled himself from the fiery pits of hell, or someone who has never known temptation.

If I'm not going to buy the music, then why would it matter if I download some songs off the album. If they would make most of the album good instead of just two good singles, then I would buy all the albums. It's like this: If I don't buy they're album, they don't get money. If I download they're album, they don't get any money. Either way, they don't get any money.

Think about everything you download, from soundbytes, to movie clips, to mp3's, to non-pd roms... everything... just people that stay totally legit say "I".

And if anyone knows anyone that is lying, please feel free to let the rest of us know, that way we can "judge" them for having the morality to lie...

I love vinyl for its quality. I love CD s fro their portability.

Usually I'll buy a new album on vinyl then "pirate" a CD of it.

I sthat even illegal? It certainly isnt unethical.

Who's never downloaded a .mp3 file that they didn't already own on a CD or Tape, or a non-PD rom, or warez.
