do you need PSO to go online with PSO v2?

Nope.

You can just buy PSO v2 - v1 is not needed at all.

when i went to connect it asked for the serial and acsess #'s from PSOv.1

Do you have a 2nd hand dreamcast? If you do, it probably means the one who owned your DC before you had PSO V1 ...

If that is the case (2nd hand DC), you can call Sega up and they will tell you how you can erase your DC memory that the original owner used to put the PSO id.

Did you play PSO1 on the same DC before? If so you can transfer your character from PSO1 to PSO2, it asks for your serial code etc...

i had used my friends PSOv.1 and now i have my own PSOv.2 if i enter his serial and acess # will he still be able to get online?

I don't think so. You can clear the memory with a browserdisk. I don't know the excact procedure so you should look it up on the internet.....sorry

If you never went online with PSO1 your friend shouldn't have a problem.
