Cannot Build KOS Port libjimtcl

If you have any questions on programming, this is the place to ask them, whether you're a newbie or an experienced programmer. Discussion on programming in general is also welcome. We will help you with programming homework, but we will not do your work for you! Any porting requests must be made in Developmental Ideas.

Cannot Build KOS Port libjimtcl

Post by trueno712 »

Hi everyone,

Switched over to KallistiOS this week on a Linux virtual machine after having trouble with DreamSDK. So far things are going pretty smooth, but for some reason, one KOS Port (libjimtcl) fails to build. The error message I'm getting is:
1 error(s) occurred during the build process:
/opt/toolchains/dc/kos/../kos-ports/libjimtcl: Build failed with return code 2
Is this is a necessary KOS port to have? And if so, how can I fix this error? (Alternatively, is it possible for someone to send me the prebuilt folder for this library?)

libjimtcl has been broken since a long time, it's a known issue.

It's not necessary, it's completely optional & only used if you are planning to use the TCL scripting language.. which is used by practically no-one in the context of the Dreamcast.
