Dreamboot BIOS now with updated dcload, devkit intro, and 32MB support

Post by |darc| »

I updated the Dreamboot BIOS with newer versions of dcload-ip and dcload-serial, added flavors for 32MB consoles, and added devkit intro varieties.

dreamboot-devkit-32mb.bios version is the only one tested on a real console. Flash these in your console at your own risk; always have a backup bootROM option.

Dreamboot BIOS by Cpajuste allows you to load up your DC quickly into a boot menu screen where you can pick a binary from SD card or IDE drive, or you can select dcload-ip or dcload-serial which are baked into ROM. It also skips the time/date prompt as well. You can also put a config file on SD/IDE and make it auto-boot into a specific program of your choosing. It was designed to create a way to automatically boot into the RetroDream interface to play games off of IDE drives, but it makes for an excellent development system BIOS as you can skip having to keep dcload on a CD and dealing with flaky GD-ROM drives and dead clock batteries. It also makes it easy to just throw some random stuff on an SD card and load it up quickly.
