Bought a few things.

I got a Thrustmaster T.Flight Hotas X from Goodwill. Good deal at $9 from Goodwill. I actually don't own any games to use it with. Any Steam suggestions? Probably going to get some of the Star Wars flight games.

I also bought a Genesis model 2 from Goodwill - it was just the unit though, no controller or cords. I have an AC block for it from many years ago, and I thought I had AV cables, but evidently not. Had to order one. Price with shipping from China: $2.80. Pretty amazing.

Oh, I bought two new 2600 controllers.

Finally, I got a PJ 008 also from Goodwill. Strange Chinese famiclone, has built in games and a cart slot and came with an 84-in-1 cart. Console is just a controller clone of the N64 controller, even has a lightgun built into it. Works pretty well, though the second player controller is broken. The pirate cart actually has quite a few good games, though a lot of crap too. Weirdest is probably the Helicopter Duck Hunt pirate, where you shoot down Helicopters instead of Ducks. Also, Pandamar, Super Mario hack:

And as far as actual GAMES go... I have recently acquired 1942, 1943, and Gradius for the NES. No clue how I missed Gradius for so long, been slowly getting NES games for 20+ years.

Crypt of the NecroDancer finally graduated from Steam Early Access, so that's how I've been spending my weekend.

Ni no Kuni (PS3)

More N64: Mario Party, reasonably-priced Atomic Purple controller

Got around to redeeming my Club Nintendo coins earlier for some 3DS/VC stuff:

Flip Note Studio 3D
Metroid II
Super Mario Land

If anyone still has any coins left, the Retro Mario t-shirt is half-off now. I was 50 short, definitely would have put in more of an effort into redeeming/earning coins before the end of March had I some way of knowing that would happen. That was the coolest thing available outside that 1000 Coin Majora's Mask puzzle. :/

Picked up Wolfenstein: Old Blood. The first game is still probably my favourite game of this generation so far, I'd been hoping some DLC would appear, so this is even better for me as I always appreciate proper retail releases.

More NES games. Most notable is probably Rock Man 4, 5 and 6. I decided I wasn't willing to pony up for Mega Man 5 (it's $80+), and thought, why not just get the second trilogy all as the Famicom versions? All three had a combined cost of around $50 at that.

I almost did that myself back when I was collecting NES stuff, but I decided in the end I just had to have Mega Man all in NES format.

I've failed my backlog challenge and got an early birthday present for myself.

PS4 and The Witcher 3.

This E3 I realised how much I was missing looking forward to new games. Feels great to be back in the loop again.

And yeah...at some point in the next few years I'm going to be playing Shenmue 3 and an FF7 remake on this. Still can't quite believe it.

Gone Home - I'm late to the party on this one as I really wanted to play a console version of this, since they've been cancelled I picked this up in the recent Steam sale for a grand total of £1.79. Incredible, I love what the indie scene is doing to gaming.

Preordered Fallout 4 Pipboy edition - My excitement to play more Fallout is leading me to spend stupid amounts of money on unnecessary clutter.

More Amiibos - Speaking of unnecessary clutter. 12 now. Another 3 on pre-order. Ridiculous.

Bought Prison Architect this past weekend. Ended up playing for a while and then asking myself "what's that smell? Oh.... me...." as I realized I played for about 12 hours straight.

Been a long while since I've done that. Most games these days can't capture my attention for long.

Conker's Bad Fur Day (N64) - Actually found it in a brick-and-mortar shop in great condition for a reasonable price.
Silpheed: The Lost Planet (PS2) & Space Invaders Extreme 2 (DS) - Found in bargain bin, got for free because I bought Conker. :)

I recently bought Goonies for Famicom, and Labyrinth for Famicom. Yes, they are both based on the 80s movies. I have no idea why they didn't get US releases. Both were cheap too.

I also bought the Famicom and NES version of Rampart. They have the same core gameplay, but are actually totally different from the ground up. Pretty interesting.

How is Goonies compared to Goonies II, which was released on NES? I had Goonies II when I was a kid and I loved that game.

Bought a copy of Hogan's Alley for the NES...

Solely for the Famicom adapter that I was sure was in the case (and, sure enough there was one).

Bought Battletoads and Vice: Project Doom for NES.

Also ordered a Blinking Light Win. My 72-pin adapter is still in pretty good shape (it was replaced about 5 years ago when I got the system), but now I shouldn't have to worry about that any more.

Isn't it a great game? I've played it through on emulators so many times, but the cart is worth owning out of respect.

Indeed. I was lucky enough to pick it up on clearance at K-mart in the late 90s for like $30 brand new.
