Minecraft PS4. Never really played it for more than 15 minutes before now, but finally gave in and decided to give it a chance. Games with a lack of a clear goal never really resonate with me. Animal Crossing is utterly wasted on me for example. But I know it's a major landmark in gaming and I sort of wanted something more family friendly in the collection too as I have a little boy on the way (gasp).

I'm beginning to see the appeal, it's intriguing, compelling, boring, satisfying, confusing and weirdly quite scary (the game, not having a kid).

I picked up a 3DS and Smash Bros earlier.

It took a minute to get used to, I reconfigured the controls to be more Gamecube/Melee style (X and A are Jump, Y for Special, B for Attack, L for Block, and R for Throw)

I'm really enjoying it so far... It's probably one of the best new games I've played in a very long time.

Also got Chrono Trigger and Kirby Super Star Ultra for the original DS.

Smash Bros. Wii U preorder, now that a release date has finally been announced.

Eva bought the 3DS game, but I'm still on the fence about it.

Guacamelee is on sale in the eShop right now, so I have a new game to play. So far, the combat is a little bit repetitive, but otherwise the game is a lot of fun... and the ridiculous puns and constant references to other games lend to the game's over-the-top style.

I should have pre-ordered the 3DS Smash. It's sold out everywhere in the GTA. >_<

A friend gave us a bunch of eShop credit as a wedding present, so... MarioKart 8 DLC and Smash Bros. 3DS. Eva had already bought the Smash Bros. cartridge, but you have to have a separate copy for each player. I was a bit annoyed at the prospect of having to buy a second copy just so we could play together, but then along came this credit and resolved that issue painlessly.

Also picked up Crusader: No Remorse and Crusader: No Regret in the GOG fall sale. I used to have No Regret in high school... never finished it, but I had a lot of fun with it. The controls are a clunky mess, but it's fun to explore and find creative ways of blowing shit up.

Obviously Pokemon Omega Ruby.

Although I'll admit I'm actually more excited about Persona Q coming tomorrow. I love both Etrian Odyssey and Persona so it should be a match made in heaven for me.

Azure Striker Gunvolt (3DS)
Petit Computer (DSiWare)

Currently on the fence about re-buying PS3. The library to select from is infinitely better than it was when I had one the last time around.

Mirror's Edge, thanks to the PlayStation game giveaway last weekend. Interesting game, but I'm not very good at it.

Nice. You know Keiji Inafune (the creator of Mega Man) helped design that game, right? Though honestly, I preferred the freebie retro title that comes bundled with it, Mighty Gunvolt.

I bought it thinking that it would be a generic Mega Man but it does split off on it's own to some degree.

It was ok. Sometimes good, occasionally bland. It has potential as a series if it gets the right sequel

I bought Metal Gear Rising: Revengeance discounted on Steam, to justify warezing it beforehand. I'll keep playing the warezed version though, don't feel like taking up over 25GB just for movies of what I'm sure it's another silly Kojima story.

Gave and received a few games for/around Christmas.

We spent Christmas with my parents in Virginia and just got back today. Beforehand, I got Donkey Kong Country Returns 3D for myself and Paper Mario: Sticker Star for Eva for the plane ride. I also took advantage of an eShop sale on 1001 Spikes, which is an absolute bastard in the best possible way.

When we got back, we had packages waiting from Eva's dad. These included Bayonetta 2, Hyrule Warriors, and Fantasy Life.
