Chrome Help

Post by cube_b3 »

I don't know how to fix this.

Whenever I open Chrome it takes me to AVG Secure Search
http://mysearch.avg.com/?cid={F3465AE8- ... g=0&sap=hp

It is bloody annoying.

1) I changed me homepage it did not help.
2) I even tried setting it to "New Page Tab" and it would still start with AVG Secure Search.
3) I changed my search engine to Google from Yahoo, and it still didn't help.
4) I uninstalled an AVG Extension from Chrome. No Luck.

Edit:

I went to control panel > Programs > Add/Remove Programs

Found some AVG Crap there, uninstalled it.

Good Riddance, it is finally over.

Yeah, I have the AVG antivirus client installed, but I always declined to install "safe search" when an application prompts me.

The worst trend over the past ten years with downloads are the tacked-on "sponsored" programs that you get asked to install alongside the one you actually want. Ugh.

I don't even recall installing it with anything, I have Kasperserv as an anti-virus.

It is funny though, how sponsored products are tacked on:

"Get this shit COMPLETELY FREE! With the freeware you are installing.
