If you're releasing a DC game/program as a .CDI file...

This forum is for discussion pertaining to homebrew and indie software for the Dreamcast, such as homebrew games, emulators/interpreters, and other homebrew software/applications. Porting requests and developmental ideas are not to be made here; you can make those here. If you need any help burning discs for homebrew software, this is the place to ask as well.

If you're releasing a DC game/program as a .CDI file...

Post by DaMadFiddler »

...could you please be sure to structure it as a data/data file rather than audio/data?

Data/data files tend to be more reliable.

In addition, LiquidCD (the Dreamcast-compatible burning tool for Macs) doesn't correctly make a bootable disc from an audio/data file. And since the Macintosh tools for building disc images from plain files don't work with recent versions of OSX, there aren't a lot of alternatives.

Thanks!
