Anyone get audited?
When I moved from WV to VA I filed my taxes in only WV. Since I lived in both states during the year I owed VA tax money too. Now they are auditing me and demanding w2 forms from 2009. I actually paid the correct tax amount just to the wrong state. Thats what I get for taking short cuts. A ton of friends are getting state audits too. At least 8 people I know in VA are being audited and these guys make low salaries. I always thought the under 40k crowd was safe from audits as it cost most to come after them vs the return.
