Re: The End is Nigh
I was never a big participant in forums... this is the only one I participated in for several years. The only other message board I currently frequent is the Antique Radios Forum (www.antiqueradios.com/forums), though my activity has recently declined there, due to budget constraints limiting my recent participation in the hobby. I also use Facebook, and occasionally write an article for Daily Kos (www.dailykos.com/blog/damadfiddler), but that's about it.
There are plenty of other sites I visit that *have* forums (i.e. OverClocked ReMix), but none I ever really felt the urge to get involved in. When DCEmu does end up dying completely, I don't know that there will be anything to take its place, at least for me. Eva (my partner) is a member of SomethingAwful, but that doesn't really appeal to me either. If this place goes, it'll pretty much just be social networking sites for me.

DCEmu will never just die completely. Though if DCEmu.com ever dies...

Though not one of the 'gang', I still post here.
In any aspect of life the only place I can really apply the term sheep is with people of any type of religious faith. They are the only (human) sheep I know of.DCDayDreamer wrote:To summarize my 'online' activities you could classify me as an outcast purely because I do not fall in line with the rest of the sheep wasting their lives on the social networking sites.

Yo!
I'm still around, just dont check here often. Maybe once a month, if that. Damn you real life for taking up all my time >.<
And if we ever get a working time machine, we need to kidnap roofus and mark discordia - Real life Mark Discordia Through History would be epic.

Re: The End is Nigh
Sorry I've been away for the last few weeks. I got my hands on Skyrim and then on Skyward Sword... And well, since then it's been serious video game saturation for me.
P.S. I now officially hate motion controls.

Thank you Nintendo for bastardizing Zelda.

Yeah, fuck the Wii. Every game I anticipated for it has blown, many of them because motion controls aren't enjoyable.

No More Heroes wouldn't have been nearly as fun without motion controls. The visceral nature of the game is a big part of the experience.mrandyk wrote:Yeah, fuck the Wii. Every game I anticipated for it has blown, many of them because motion controls aren't enjoyable.

Dance Dance Revolution wouldn't be nearly as fun without DDR pads, but I don't want to play Zelda with my DDR pads.DaMadFiddler wrote:No More Heroes wouldn't have been nearly as fun without motion controls. The visceral nature of the game is a big part of the experience.

Re: The End is Nigh
I hardly ever check in here anymore. If I check in once a month the same topics are still on page 1 of their respective sub forums. Blueguerilla on the other hand I check multiple times a day, and while it isn't as active as I'd like it to be. It is much much more active then DCEmu. It is sad this place is the way it is now, but we all knew the Dreamcast wasn't going to be popular forever. Back in the day I was in love with NesterDC and the other emulators. I always checked for updates to the emulators. Now though if somebody released a full speed N64 and PSX emulator for the DC I wouldn't even care. Newer consoles have great emulators, there is no need to run them on the DC anymore.melancholy wrote:Yeah, I check here about twice a day, but nobody's ever talking. The weird part is that Blueguerilla has kinda been the same way lately.

If everyone who doesn't come here very often because there are no posts, decided to come here often and post, there would be enough posts.
