I was wondering if anyone here could answer this for me..
Basically I want to use VGA output on my Dreamcast, but I noticed a VGA box for it is about £20 at cheapest when I could get a RCA to VGA cable for about £5.
So I could use a standard TV cable on my Dreamcast that would plug into a VGA converter cable, which would plug into my monitor.
Is there any reason why a RCA to VGA cable wouldn't work? Because it's a much cheaper alternative to the VGA box.
Thanks!

Re: Using VGA output
Does not seem like a good idea to me, because rca will not enable the 480p output, which is the main reason to use the vga adapter.
Re: Using VGA output
Well, thanks anyway!
Think there will be any workarounds, or will I just have to stop being a cheapskate and get an adapter?
Thanks again!

Re: Using VGA output
You could try to build yourself a VGA cable for the Dreamcast (its not that hard to do), but to do so you'd need the plug end for the Dreamcast side (which is a bit more difficult to get).
Its probably easier to just buy a VGA box, especially with how cheap you can get them.
