Hmmmm... It might be Shenmue 3. The village might be the one that was mentioned near the end of part 2. However, don't the graphics look a little raw for XBOX? They look more like DC graphics to me, and it's unlikely Shenmue 3 ever got past brainstorming sessions for that. The pictures are from the official Shenme site though....

Interesting, and hopeful for the series. I thought part 3 wasn't even in development. Hopefully someone on the forums who reads Japanese can help us read the captions!

Those pics look VERY like the village at the end of Shenmue 2. Dont remeber that young girl but the old guy look a bit like whats-his-face who you spend all your time looking for in 2.

shenmue as a series from start to end started development on the saturn, they only cut the chunks for 1 and 2 for the dc so far, they still have bucket loads of developed game made, they only update it for newer hardware, slightly.

I think that we already have most (if not all) of what was made for the Saturn or DC. From what I understand, Shenmue 1 and 2 were supposed to be one game, but it grew out of proportions so they split it in two. So what we really got was Shenmue 1, and the next installment depends on how this one does.

saturn shenmue was different ryo was a lot younger and instead of the mad angels were the gang of ren it was shenmue 1 and 2 together with some changes

but these pictures ain't from the saturn cuz ryo looked a lot more different in the saturn version

I was really suprised to see the Sega Saturn Shenmue videos after completing Shenmue 2.

It looked fantastic for a Saturn game, but I could imagine it slowing down a lot. I didnt think that they got THAT far in developing the Saturn one.

they were busy 4 4 years they had it 90% finished

most of the series was made on the saturn, sure it is being edited and things like res and the such fixed, but i am quite confident there is much more which was developed in the saturn days that isnt released yet

Yea it looked great for Saturn, but only with an additional 3D pack that had to be put in the cartridge slot of the Saturn in order for the game to be played. Virtua Fighter 3 was going to use this too on the Saturn- this was all already discussed before just repeating some old news.
