Hmmmm... It might be Shenmue 3. The village might be the one that was mentioned near the end of part 2. However, don't the graphics look a little raw for XBOX? They look more like DC graphics to me, and it's unlikely Shenmue 3 ever got past brainstorming sessions for that. The pictures are from the official Shenme site though....
Interesting, and hopeful for the series. I thought part 3 wasn't even in development. Hopefully someone on the forums who reads Japanese can help us read the captions!

I think that we already have most (if not all) of what was made for the Saturn or DC. From what I understand, Shenmue 1 and 2 were supposed to be one game, but it grew out of proportions so they split it in two. So what we really got was Shenmue 1, and the next installment depends on how this one does.

saturn shenmue was different ryo was a lot younger and instead of the mad angels were the gang of ren it was shenmue 1 and 2 together with some changes
but these pictures ain't from the saturn cuz ryo looked a lot more different in the saturn version

It looked fantastic for a Saturn game, but I could imagine it slowing down a lot. I didnt think that they got THAT far in developing the Saturn one.

most of the series was made on the saturn, sure it is being edited and things like res and the such fixed, but i am quite confident there is much more which was developed in the saturn days that isnt released yet
