Unknown (to me) Dreamcast box

The auction is mostly unremarkable, except for the box that the Dreamcast comes with. I've never seen that style of box before. Does anyone here know anything about it?

After a quick glance I thought that might be refurbished or something so I did a google search on "dreamcast refurbished" under images and stumbled across this collection here:

I never seen almost all of those...

Seller responded saying that he bought a DC shortly after launch, and within a month it was broken. He sent it back to SEGA and they sent him a brand new one in that box. So not refurbished, but just factory direct or something.

That is so cool, tempted to make a news post about it.

So this is the warranty return box for dreamcast.

If you think that's amazing, strange, and newsworthy, you might want to check these out:

http://cgi.ebay.com/RARE-Sega-Dreamcast ... 1e61e8dd88

or any of these items from Ozzfest 2000 which was sponsored by 'Dreamcast':

That'd probably be a good topic for a story, as it seems like Dreamcast was the main sponsor for the tour.

I can barely see the dreamcast logo on the concert cards and the vinyl is very common.

It is part of the AU Dreamcast Collection release and several SEGA fan sites are giving it away for free.

Maybe DCS should get a hold of them!

That looks like a shipping box. Outside of that would have been the cardboard box with the UPS shipping label on it and inside of the box you see above would be the standard retail Dreamcast box with the Dreamcast inside.

On eBay as there is one of those for Steel Battalion right now.
