Post your iPods
Anyone here a collector? I have a little collection myself. I have four Classics (ranging from 80 to 160GB), one 4GB fatty Nano, one 20GB 4th generation, one 60GB iPod Photo, plus the first generation with the firewire port and mechanical wheel, 1GB shuffle and tons of other in pieces for parts, iPhone 8GB first generation (used as skype phone and iPod touch). I had a 30GB iPod Video but someone dropped it in a glass of orange juice.. They're all in great working condition except the 20GB has a weak battery that only lasts a few hours. What do you have?
*one Classic not pictured, someone is using it right now.

Re: Post your iPods
He bought a 32gb, but from playing it so much he has lost a few gbs.
I have a 5.5gen ipod video it was the thicker 60gb model, but I replaced the hdd with a 30gb one. I also have an ipod mini 4gb and pink. The only device out of those that I actually really even use though is my 32gb iphone 3gs.

Re: Post your iPods
Had an original iPod Nano for the longest time, eventually replaced it with my HTC HD2. I doubt I'll ever get an iPod again - the price is too high and I don't care for iTunes. The iPod Touch is nice, but I'm more likely to get an iPhone instead.
To be honest, I'm kinda tired about how everything is wanting more money off me for a screen nd hardware capable of playing video. I don't know if I'm doing it wrong/my computer sucks - but if things are taking more than a couple of minutes to convert I just can't be bothered with it. It'd be fine if I'm loading it up with video just once but I'm struggling to think of any TV shows or movies I'd want to keep with me for repeated watching.

Re: Post your iPods
iRiver iHP-120 (20gb) - obviously not an iPod, but my first MP3 player. I wanted to get an iPod, but the iRivers were so much better than the iPods during that time.
iPod 5G (60gb) - outgrew the 20gb iRiver, had to get something bigger, so I went with the iPod this time as I was buying a MacBook and could get one for free for the bundle deal.
iPhone (8gb) - outgrew the 60gb iPod, gave it to my girlfriend when hers broke, just went with streaming my music from home over the internet with SimplifyMedia
iPhone 3G (8gb) - sold my iPhone for $440 and bought the new 3G for $200+contract, streaming no longer sucked when over 3G
iPhone 4 (16gb) - sold my iPhone 3G for $200 and bought the iPhone 4 for $200+contract, SimplifyMedia folded and now I use Pandora and the iPod app

Re: Post your iPods
I use orb live on my device for streaming. Honestly, I can't even be bothered to remux mkvs to mp4 to put on my device much less actually convert a bunch of stuff (unless I am traveling and need to load up a bunch of shit). So, I just use orb live and it works great streams all my music/video just lovely.

Re: Post your iPods
My iPod collection right now just consists of two iPhones (32GB iPhone 4 and a white 16GB 3G) and a really old 3rd generation 40GB iPod (with a broken dock connector). I did have a iPod 5.5, but I sold it.
On a related note, however, I still have my old Rio PMP300, which by some miracle still works perfectly. 32MB and $199 when I got it for Christmas of 98'. How times have changed...

Re: Post your iPods
Ha, I found one of those at a yard sale once. It was in perfect condition, but the guy gave me the wrong charger for it so I ended up exchanging it for some odd proprietary mini-disc mp3 player from around 2001.melancholy wrote:On a related note, however, I still have my old Rio PMP300, which by some miracle still works perfectly. 32MB and $199 when I got it for Christmas of 98'.
